Well, well, well.

Here we are again.

At sunset today Summer will officially end and Autumn will begin.

Of course Texas hasn’t gotten the memo yet. But she will. Eventually.

In the mean while let us enjoy every day and acknowledge the pending change.

Summer Adieu

It’s out of the flip-flops and back in the Reeboks

and long pants dug out of the dust

So long to the tank tops, bikinis and cut offs

and lawn chairs left lying to rust

Adieu to the sand dune, the pelican and plain loon

My loves, we’ll see you `fore long

Leaves drop as trees swoon, long past the crop moon

With the scent of a sweet autumn song

Let’s all take a big swill to ward off the night chill

Winter’s a season away

Crank up the camp fire; avoid the ole quagmire

With children perched high on the hay.

Poem from Getting Me Back

Happy Equinoxes

The autumn  aequus nox, or equal night starts here in the northern hemisphere this evening while spring begins for the folks in the southern hemisphere. Yep, it is a topsy-turvy world we live in but thank goodness the falling [Fall…fall-ing, Get it? 😀 ] prices at google books is not affected by hemispheres… or asteroids… or lame humor. 😉

Fall in love with reading Happy Fall Y'all

It’s out of the flip-flops and back in the Reebok’s and long pants dug out of the dust

So long to the tank tops, bikinis and cut offs and lawn chairs left lying to rust…

 H

My soul beckoned from a wintry slumber. Fretful and anxious; weary and depressed, fearful you had abandoned me…

and then as promised, you appeared….
